Inscriptions of Ulm: Former City Wall

In the eastern part of the medieval center of Ulm there is an important portion of a former city wall that has been transformed into a charming residential neighborhood after serving as a housing for the soldiers of the city, up to the beginning of the 19th century. Inscriptions of Ulm: Leaning House

This new verbalissimo.com page describes the Ulm Leaning House and its inscriptions. This house is less impressioning than the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy but it’s surprising that a hotel can exist in such leaning building. This house is located in the most picturesque quarter of the medieval center of Ulm. For more details, see Leaning House.

Inscriptions of Maspalomas: Christopher Columbus Rocks

In Maspalomas (Gran Canaria) there are two Columbus memorials. Yesterday I talked about the first one, which is a high column described on verbalissimo.com under Christopher Columbus Column. Now you can find the description of the second one, which consists in several rocks and barrels, under Christopher Columbus Rocks.

Überarbeitet: Tod Kaiser Ludwigs des Bayern

Über die deutsche Übersetzung der lateinischen Inschrift am Denkmal für den Tod Ludwigs des Bayern bei Puch (Fürstenfeldbruck) hat sich dank der Zuschrift eines Lesers eine kleine Diskussion entwickelt, die jetzt zu einer (ersten) Überarbeitung der betr. Teile der Seite geführt hat. Das Ergebnis kann man sehen auf verbalissimo.com unter Tod Kaiser Ludwigs des Bayern.
Die Diskussion bleibt aber offen. Schreiben Sie uns Ihre Meinung! Danke!
